The Latest Trezor Device and Wallet Updates

Trezor is a hardware wallet allowing for the secure, offline storage of multiple cryptocurrencies.  The device combines an intuitive interface with a high degree of security. The company provides top quality support and prides itself on transparency. There are two devices currently on offer: the Trezor One and the Trezor Model T. Both devices support over 500 cryptocurrencies! You can view the full list of supported coins on the Trezor site.

The latest release of updates to the devices included firmware updates as well as new features and adjustments. This article aims to provide an overview of these.

 

Trezor Wallet – release 19

Firstly, the transaction export feature now includes format choice; either CSV or PDF.

The fiat currency exchange rate provider has changed to CoinMarketCap.

Bitcoin Cash Cashaddr is now supported by the wallet. You will need to update your firmware to take advantage of this.

Dogecoin (DOGE) and Vertcoin (VTC)  support added.

 

Trezor One – firmware update 1.6.2

Device updated to support Zcash Overwinter update.

Bitcoin Cash Cashaddr now supported. Again, you will need to update your firmware to take advantage of this.

Support added for coins including:

  • Callisto (CLO)
  • Decred (DCR)
  • Ellaism (ELLA)

Trezor Model T - firmware update 2.0.7

Device updated to support Zcash Overwinter update.

Bitcoin Cash Cashaddr now supported. Remember, update your firmware to take advantage of this.

NEM (XEM) support added. You need to use NanoWallet with your Trezor to access the NEM blockchain. Find out more here.
