Using MyEtherWallet with the Ledger Nano S
MyEtherWallet (MeW) is an online Ethereum wallet that supports all ERC20 tokens. ERC20 tokens are those built on the Ethereum network. MeW supports the Ledger Nano S. To learn how to set up the MeW using the Ledger Nano S please follow the instructions below.
1. Firstly, unlock your Ledger Nano S and open the Ethereum wallet on the device. It is not necessary to open the Ethereum wallet application on your computer.
2. Once the Ethereum wallet is unlocked on the Ledger Nano S, go to settings and set ‘Contract Data’ and ‘Browser Support’ to yes. Please note that you will need to change these settings back to open your Ethereum wallet within the Ledger Chrome extension.
3. Go to the MyEtherWallet site and select ‘Send Ether & Tokens’ and ‘Ledger Wallet’ options shown in the screenshot below. Once selected click ‘Connect to Ledger Wallet.’
4. The following pop up will show the available wallet addresses to interact with and ask you to select a derivation path. Select the wallet address you wish to unlock. Finally, leave the derivation path as is, then select ‘unlock your wallet.’
