Do you have questions about our service for buying crypto with a credit card/Simplex?

This article contains the most commonly asked questions about the service we offer to allow you to buy crypto with your credit card.

If after reading through this article, you still have questions, please visit the official Simplex Support Centre here. This service is provided by our third-party partner, who is best equipped to answer any support or technical questions you have. They also offer a chat service found on the same page linked above.

Who is Simplex?

Simplex is the fintech company we have chosen to work with to provide us with a safe, convenient, and fraud-free credit card payment processing solution.

Who can use this service to buy crypto with a credit card?

If you are 18 years old or older and not from a country listed on the FATF high-risk and monitored jurisdictions list, then you are welcome to use this service.

What do I need to do to use this service?

The first time you use the credit card payment service, you will be required to verify your ID with Simplex. Please note, this verification is separate from that required by BitPrime for our other services. This step is completed during the checkout process. For a full guide on how to use this service, see our step-by-step guide. You may be asked to repeat this step with subsequent purchases at Simplex’s discretion.

What transaction limits apply to using a credit card to buy crypto?

The daily limit is 20,000 USD, and the monthly limit is 50,000 USD and includes all fees. These limits cannot be extended.

The daily limit is calculated as a 24-hour period from purchasing, and the monthly limit is a 31-day period since the purchase that reached the limit.

What credit cards are supported?

VISA and Mastercard.

Which cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies are supported?

Currently, there are 40 cryptocurrencies and 50 fiat currencies supported. To view the full list, please visit this page.

Why do I have to verify with Simplex?

Simplex has their own KYC (Know Your Customer) and legal requirements to meet. To learn more about their verification process, how they store your information, and other verification-related questions, please visit this page.

Is Simplex regulated?

Simplex is licensed as a financial institution in the European Union.

Can I get a refund on my purchase?

Most cryptocurrencies are designed to be irreversible, and as such, once the crypto is sent out, there are no refunds. This is why you need to double-check your wallet address and other details before you submit for purchase.

Should you decide to sell your cryptocurrency, you can do so if you are a verified customer of BitPrime.

My question wasn’t listed above, and I still need help!

If you have any questions related to your payments or Simplex service, you can contact their official support team in two ways:

  • Live chat through the bottom right side of the ordering page.
  • Submit a ticket through their support centre.

Note: Simplex does not offer phone support, but they have a very extensive Knowledge Base of their own which may answer and other questions you have. I would recommend checking there first before submitting a support ticket or starting a chat.

If you are looking to track your payment status, you can do so using the payment ID emailed to you.

    • Yes, you can use credit or debit cards to purchase via Simplex. Alternatively, as you have a NZ bank account, you’re able to purchase via Poli and use your bank account directly. Just head to this page, assuming you’re verified with us, and you’re able to do so there. If you’re purchasing via Simplex or through us, you’ll need to do a separate verification each time. Hope this helps!
